Sahilya is a fashion discovery service for buyers, local fashion sellers, and Sahilya administrators. The buyer app helps users browse looks, save preferences, create lookbooks, and contact sellers. The partner app helps sellers create shop profiles, upload listing photos, manage availability, and respond to buyer interest. The admin app helps Sahilya review sellers, moderate listings, manage subscriptions, and protect the service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can contact us about your data.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created when you use the apps, and limited technical information needed to run the service.
- Account information: name, email address, user identifier, authentication status, Google profile information when you choose Google Sign-In, and profile photo or avatar URL.
- Buyer information: saved looks, lookbook items, style preferences, city or area preference, budget and sizing preferences, shared lookbook links, and seller inquiry activity.
- Seller information: shop name, owner account, phone or WhatsApp number, shop address, city, area, seller profile details, listing titles, descriptions, categories, prices, deposits, availability, moderation status, and subscription request information.
- Photos and uploaded content: listing photos, shop banner images, shop logo images, and profile avatar images that users or sellers upload or choose from supported account providers.
- App activity and diagnostics: listing saves, inquiry events, listing counters, admin actions, audit logs, error logs, and basic service diagnostics used to keep the apps reliable and secure.
Permissions and Device Access
The Android apps require internet access so they can connect to Sahilya services. The buyer and partner apps may open the system photo picker when you choose to upload or select an image. Sahilya does not request background location, contacts, microphone, SMS, or call-log access.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide and improve Sahilya, including to authenticate accounts, personalize fashion discovery, save preferences, create and display seller listings, support shop profile management, process buyer inquiries, generate shareable lookbook links, moderate content, prevent misuse, investigate errors, maintain security, and communicate important service updates.
Google Sign-In
When you choose Google Sign-In, Google may share basic profile information with Sahilya, such as your name, email address, account identifier, and profile image. We use this information to create and maintain your Sahilya account session and to show your account identity inside the app.
Seller Inquiries and Contact Details
When a signed-in buyer chooses to contact a seller, Sahilya records an inquiry event for safety, abuse prevention, analytics, and seller follow-up. Seller phone or WhatsApp details are shown only after an authenticated inquiry flow. Buyers should use seller contact details only for legitimate listing-related communication.
Lookbook Sharing
If you share a lookbook or saved look, Sahilya creates a random share token that allows anyone with the link to view the shared lookbook content. Shared lookbook links may include listing details, seller shop name, city or area, price, and listing photos. Do not share a link with people you do not want to view that content.
Seller Content and Moderation
Sellers can upload listing and shop content. Sahilya may review, approve, reject, archive, or remove seller content to protect users, comply with policy, prevent abuse, or keep discovery quality high. Admin actions may be logged for accountability and service operations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information in the following limited ways:
- With service providers: providers that support authentication, hosting, database storage, file storage, email delivery, security, and infrastructure operations.
- Between buyers and sellers: when a buyer makes an inquiry, relevant seller contact information may be shown to the buyer, and inquiry information may be visible to the seller or Sahilya team.
- With Sahilya administrators: for moderation, support, fraud prevention, subscription operations, and service management.
- For legal and safety reasons: if required by law, legal process, or to protect users, sellers, the public, or Sahilya.
Third-Party Services
Sahilya uses trusted third-party services to operate the apps, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Cloudflare for image storage and delivery, Firebase Hosting for public web pages, and Google Sign-In where enabled. These services may process data according to their own terms and privacy practices.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data, including encrypted network connections, account authentication, role-based access controls, row-level database controls, moderated access to seller content, and operational logging. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we design Sahilya to limit access and protect account data.
Data Retention
We keep account, listing, inquiry, audit, and operational data for as long as needed to provide Sahilya, operate seller and admin workflows, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce policies, prevent abuse, and improve the service. We may retain some logs or records for a reasonable period after account deletion where needed for safety, fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Your Choices and Deletion Requests
You may request account deletion, profile deletion, listing removal, or correction of inaccurate information by contacting us at the email below. Please include the email address or phone number associated with your Sahilya account and describe the request. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
Children
Sahilya is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Sahilya, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
International Processing
Sahilya is operated from India and may use service providers that process information in other countries. By using Sahilya, you understand that your information may be processed where our service providers operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Sahilya evolves, legal requirements change, or new features are added. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
